ALL ABOUT ME
Hello!
I am very excited about this school year! I have been teaching for about 13 years now, and this is my third year at NHE as a gifted support teacher and advanced math teacher.
I was born in Atlanta, Georgia and raised in McDonough, Georgia. My family is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, but relocated to Georgia in 1973 to pursue a business in horticulture. I began working in my family's nursery when I was eight years old, and continued to do so until graduating from high school. From there, I worked in the medical field until graduating from Mercer University in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. I began my teaching career in 2012 in the Georgia lottery funded pre-k program, and then joined the RSE team in January 2014 where I taught both 3rd and 4th grades.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with my family: my partner Jason, of 14 years, my daughter Aivree, stepdaughters Mila and Summer, stepson Jayson, and our newest addition to the family, my granddaughter Scarlett.
I am honored to work with your child and look forward to a successful school year! Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
