Class Description
What is Creative Movement?
In creative movement students learn academics through dance and theater. They are on their feet learning, collaborating, and showing understanding of content through the arts!
Why Creative Movement?
Engagement - Students are more attentive and excited to learn academic content.
Creativity - Students learn to think for themselves and think outside of the box!
Collaboration - The arts encourage students to work together and exchange ideas.
Academic Achievement - Students are more likely to remember academic content through memorable and personal learning experiences.
Creative movement "is surely a most extraordinary fusion of thinking, doing, and feeling. If we are concerned about the health of a child's mind, body, and spirit, then how can we ignore the education force of an art form which addresses all three at once?" - Nancy King
