Henry County Schools inaugurated the Henry County Public Schools Foundation (HCPSF) during a daylong workshop for its newly appointed Board of Trustees on Feb. 7 at Heritage Park in McDonough.

The Georgia Association for Positive Behavior Support (GAPBS) recently honored Henry County Schools Intervention and Prevention Specialist Yolanda Reid Wheeler with the 2024 Dr. Garry McGiboney Outstanding Leadership Award.

Henry County Schools’ Teaching and Learning Director Norkesha Muhammad-Garrett was recently named a 2024 Hidden Hero by the Georgia Leadership Institute for School Improvement.

Henry County Schools Director of STEM and Innovative Practice Dr. Rabieh J. Hafza was recently named one of the nation’s Top 10 STEM Directors in Education by Educational Technology Insights.

The Henry County Board of Education re-elected Sophe Pope (Dist. 4) as Board Chair and Annette Edwards (Dist. 2) as Board Vice Chair during a special called meeting on Jan. 9.

Henry County Schools students showed growth and gains in mathematics during the 2023-2024 school year, according to Georgia Milestones results recently released by the Georgia Department of Education.

Districtwide and school-level graduation rates for Henry County Schools continue to outpace the state, according to data released Oct. 8 by the Georgia Department of Education.
